emma, salon owner & creative director
Emma has been hairdressing for 30 years, starting out as a Saturday girl going into an apprenticeship, then continuing her hairdressing journey with experience in big branded salons in London, Cambridge and Peterborough. Time for a change came when Emma started her family, so decided to work closer to home!
Emma specialises in cutting hair and has had so much experience in many Academy's in London and lots of opportunities due to her special talents in hair cutting.
With all the experiences Emma has had, her expertise is to offer talents through all aspects of the trade she loves.
Gen, Creative director
My name is Genevieve Wells and I am a Creative Director at The Little Hair Shop. I have been in the Hair Dressing Industry for over 27 years and gained an NVQ level 2 in Hairdressing, an NVQ level 2 in Beauty Therapy and I have also completed a Diploma in Hair Extensions.
During my career I have managed and ran an Academy School for apprentices in line with Heart of England supporting them through their training and preparing them for the end point assessment to achieving their qualification.
I have had to honour of managing two salons. I have outstanding leadership skills and I offer continual support to members of my team.
My biggest achievement was graduating with a 2:2 in a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Psychology at the Open University. During my six years of study I gained profound knowledge of understanding people and the human mind which is a great benefit to this industry.
stacie, artistic designer
Hello, my name is Stacie. I am 30 years old and have lived and breathed hair since my very first day in a salon at just 14! I have been in salons ever since, investing in my craft to learn everything there is to know and building myself up to be the best I can be – and I’m still always learning! From a Saturday girl to Level 3 qualified, running my own business for over 10 years, and now joining the gorgeous team here at The Little Hair Shop.
I’d say my two favourite things to do are all things foiling – lived-in blondes, balayage, reverse balayage. I’m forever learning new tips and techniques to create a low-maintenance blonde with the softest blend.
And I love getting stuck into a hair-up! I think I’ll pretty much put my mind to anything, and as much as I’m a perfectionist who puts crazy pressure on myself, I’ll always take on a challenge.

Alex, our Senior Designer at the salon, is renowned for her exceptional talent and creativity in the realm of hair design. With extensive experience in the industry, she has developed a keen eye for crafting bespoke hair styles that not only align with the latest fashion trends but also beautifully complement the unique characteristics of each client. Her meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of color theory allow her to deliver stunning hair transformations. Whether clients seek a subtle enhancement or a complete makeover, Alex approaches every task with a blend of artistic passion and professional dedication. Clients appreciate her ability to listen attentively and transform their visions into reality, making her a highly respected and sought-after stylist. As a Senior Designer, Alex's role transcends mere hair styling; she is committed to offering an experience that leaves clients feeling refreshed, confident, and truly satisfied.
abbie, graduate stylist
Abbie is the enthusiastic Graduate Stylist at The Little Hair Shop, having recently achieved her NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing – a huge well done to her! With a background in Level 3 Beauty Therapy, Abbie has seamlessly transitioned into the world of hairdressing and is loving every moment of her journey at the salon.
Dedicated to continual growth, Abbie is actively refining her skills through advanced training sessions and educational opportunities provided by The Heart of England.
